About your role

We are seeking an experienced Agile Enablement Specialist to support the EMEA Agile Transformation team in advancing Agile and SAFe ways of working across the region. The primary focus of this role is to collaborate with Agile Release Trains (ARTs), Product Management, Release Train Engineers (RTEs), and delivery teams to strengthen Agile practices, improve flow, and ensure alignment with Scaled Agile principles at portfolio, program, and team levels. The role is a senior, hands‑on contributor position, providing expertise, guidance, and operational support without acting in a leadership capacity. Agile Enablement is the central focus of this position, with the role also requiring strong expertise in JIRA configuration and administration. The individual will ensure that JIRA structures, workflows, and reporting effectively support Agile and SAFe delivery needs across the region, while remaining aligned with global governance, standards, and architectural direction established by the US‑based Enterprise Tools team.

What you’ll do

  • Agile & SAFe Enablement: Support the EMEA Agile Transformation team in advancing Agile and SAFe adoption across the region, acting as a senior hands‑on contributor. Support the planning, facilitation, and execution of PI Planning, ensuring teams are appropriately prepared, dependencies are managed, and outcomes are clearly captured. Partner with Agile Release Trains (ARTs), Product Management, Release Train Engineers (RTEs), and delivery teams to mature Agile practices and improve delivery flow. Contribute to other SAFe ceremonies and events including Inspect & Adapt, Scrum of Scrums, and cross‑team dependency reviews. Assist in configuring and maintaining Agile‑ and SAFe‑aligned JIRA structures, workflows, hierarchies, and linkages across portfolio, program, and team levels (in partnership with the JIRA Admin responsibility). Ensure Agile workflows and tooling support delivery visibility, flow metrics, predictability, and continuous improvement. Work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners, and RTEs to ensure Agile tooling reflects true delivery needs and supports effective execution. Promote consistent Agile and SAFe best practices while accommodating appropriate flexibility for regional delivery variances. Support the creation and refinement of Agile metrics, dashboards, and insights for delivery teams and leadership (e.g., flow metrics, PI progress, predictability, throughput). Maintain documentation, standards, and knowledge‑base content related to Agile tooling and Agile ways of working.
  • JIRA Administration & Regional Ownership: Administer and maintain enterprise Jira Data Centre environments supporting large user bases (5,000+ users). Implement project‑level and global automations to improve efficiency, governance, and Agile flow. Ensure configuration quality and compliance across test and production environments. Act as the first point of contact for all regional JIRA queries, incidents, requests, and escalations. Configure, maintain, and optimise: Projects, workflows, issue types, screens, schemes, permissions, notifications, and automation rules. JIRA add‑ons, plugins, and integrations. Ensure compliance with enterprise governance, security standards, audit requirements, and Agile tooling standards.
  • Global Governance & Collaboration: Work closely with the US Enterprise Tools team to ensure alignment with global JIRA strategy, architecture, and policies. Represent EMEA requirements in global governance forums, balancing regional needs with enterprise consistency. Support controlled rollout of global changes into the EMEA environment.
  • Dashboards, Reporting & Insights: Design and maintain high‑quality JIRA dashboards and reports for leadership, delivery teams, and operational reviews. Provide Agile and SAFe metrics and insights, including (where applicable): Flow metrics, velocity, throughput, predictability, PI progress, and dependency tracking. Translate business and Agile delivery requirements into meaningful metrics and visualisations. Where applicable, support Power BI dashboards using JIRA data to provide regional and executive‑level insights.
  • Stakeholder Management: Build strong working relationships with senior leaders and delivery teams across EMEA. Confidently manage competing priorities and expectations across regions and time zones. Communicate clearly and professionally with both regional leadership and US based global stakeholders.
  • JIRA Cloud Migration (Future State): Play a leading regional role in the planned migration from data centre JIRA to JIRA Cloud for EMEA including but not limited to Definition of migration scope and strategy. Design of a new Agile- and SAFe-aligned target configuration and validation with global stakeholders. Selective historical data migration (if any). Hands‑on configuration in test and production environments. Support execution, testing, PI readiness, and business adoption activities. Act as the regional subject matter expert throughout the migration lifecycle. Deliver end‑user and power‑user training, including Agile and SAFe usage patterns. Provide ongoing user support during and after migrations. Prepare and maintain Jira documentation, standards, and knowledge base materials.

Experience you’ll need to have

  • Significant hands‑on experience supporting Agile and SAFe delivery models in complex, multi‑team or multi‑region environments.
  • SAFe certification (e.g. SAFe Agilist, SAFe Practitioner, or SAFe RTE) or equivalent Agile certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience contributing to Agile Transformation activities, including supporting ARTs, Product Management, Product Owners, and Release Train Engineers.
  • Strong practical experience in preparing, supporting, and facilitating PI Planning and other key SAFe ceremonies (Inspect & Adapt, Scrum of Scrums, dependency reviews).
  • Hands‑on experience maintaining JIRA projects, workflows, schemes, permissions, screens, and automation rules within a governed enterprise environment.
  • Experience configuring JIRA to support Agile and SAFe workflows, hierarchies, issue types, and reporting structures.

Experience that would be great to have

  • Familiarity with Power BI and the creation of dashboards using JIRA or other Agile delivery data.
  • Experience supporting or participating in JIRA migrations, including from Data Center to Cloud.
  • Exposure to enterprise governance, risk, compliance, or audit frameworks related to tooling or delivery processes.
  • Experience contributing to training, coaching, or capability‑building activities related to Agile ways of working.
