About The Role

At Shopify, our growing B2B sales team collaborates directly with notable brands in wholesale and distribution to develop and enhance their commerce strategies.

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Sales Leader to join our remote team for our New Business B2B Wholesale division. As a founding member, you will work directly with our Head of B2B Sales, Americas, to build the global playbook for this new initiative, while leading a dynamic team focused on securing new business to expand our market presence in industries such as Lifestyle, Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, Food, Alcohol and Beverage, and others (e.g., Media, Travel).

We seek a driven, adaptable leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can navigate complex sales cycles.

Shopify is Digital by Design, and our workforce is remote. This role is fully remote.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue growth by achieving and exceeding sales targets through effective team leadership and strategic planning.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of Account Executives, fostering success and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with team members to strategize and close high-value deals, engaging with decision-makers up to the C-suite level.
  • Work with other departments to enhance product offerings and optimize market penetration, aligning with business goals.
  • Utilize analytics and CRM tools to manage forecasts, pipeline activities, and territory planning, ensuring strategic use of data.
  • Lead by example, focusing on results, holding team members accountable, and maintaining high morale and performance.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven sales management experience with a track record of exceeding targets.
  • Experience in a technology or SaaS environment, managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
  • Experience as a founding team member, building and scaling sales teams from scratch.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on results, accountability, and team motivation.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency in sales tools (e.g., Salesforce, Gong, Salesloft, LinkedIn).
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and adapt quickly.
