We are hiring for this position in the UK and Ireland only.

Your role will involve planning, coordination, optimization, and scaling of our Paid Media activity and channel marketing plans to acquire new Shopify Plus merchants in Europe. You will drive program operational excellence and analyze performance marketing campaigns to provide actionable insights for strategy enhancement. Collaborating with multiple global teams, including Commercial Marketing, Regional Marketing, UX, Sales, Merchant Success, Growth Marketing, Events, Content, Web, and Product Marketing, as well as external partners, you will support and optimize multi-channel, full funnel campaigns.

To excel in this role, you should have recent hands-on experience across various performance marketing channels for B2B. You thrive on building and optimizing cross-functional, user-focused digital media campaigns. Your understanding of the B2B marketing funnel enables you to deliver the right messaging at each stage, with a focus on conversion goals. You have experience collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to drive new strategies and opportunities. Balancing foundational elements with aspirational goals, you embrace experimentation and try new things, and aren’t afraid to be curious or inquisitive.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal activation teams and an external partner agency to execute and launch strategic time-bound and always-on campaigns, while optimizing performance across SEM, Social, Display, and Syndication channels.
  • Establish and maintain efficient workflows for campaign launch processes involving multiple stakeholders, ensuring operational excellence and timely go-to-market execution.
  • Create best practices and a framework for launching new campaigns that align with strategic objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Design structured learning agendas for campaigns that focus on creative strategies to improve ad ROI and facilitate continuous performance enhancement through iterative testing and optimization.
  • Enable the Europe Commercial Marketing team to develop campaigns based on insights and opportunities by assessing and identifying digital platform enhancements and new ad formats.
  • Cultivate regular communication and alignment with both digital and non-digital performance vendors to strengthen relationships and enhance overall campaign effectiveness.
  • Support the execution and management of Shopify's content syndication program by assisting in the development of media plans and enabling content distribution across various vendors.
  • Utilize analytical tools to extract and analyze large datasets, identifying trends, patterns, and insights related to B2B marketing channels and campaigns.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, optimize strategies and ROI to accelerate growth for Shopify Plus.
  • Generate regular reports and dashboards to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
What you need to apply / Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Performance Marketer, preferably in a B2B environment.

  • Knowledge of performance marketing KPIs, with the ability to track, analyze, and report on campaign performance.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally to optimize campaign and demand generation efforts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects independently.
  • Experience in B2B performance marketing and a good understanding of how a typical B2B sales and marketing funnel works.
  • Experience with segmented target audience strategies and ABM.
  • Knowledge of SQL programming languages is a plus.

About Shopify

Opportunity is not evenly distributed. Shopify puts independence within reach for anyone with a dream to start a business. We propel entrepreneurs and enterprises to scale the heights of their potential. Since 2006, we’ve grown to over 8,300 employees and generated over $1 trillion in sales for millions of merchants in 175 countries. This is life-defining work that directly impacts people’s lives as much as it transforms your own. This is putting the power of the few in the hands of the many, is a future with more voices rather than fewer, and is creating more choices instead of an elite option.

About You

Moving at our pace brings a lot of change, complexity, and ambiguity—and a little bit of chaos. Shopifolk thrive on that and are comfortable being uncomfortable. That means Shopify is not the right place for everyone. Before you apply, consider if you can:

  • Care deeply about what you do and about making commerce better for everyone.
  • Excel by seeking professional and personal hypergrowth.
  • Keep up with an unrelenting pace (the week, not the quarter).
  • Be resilient and resourceful in face of ambiguity and thrive on (rather than endure) change.
  • Bring critical thought and opinion.
  • Use AI tools reflexively as part of your fundamental workflow.
  • Embrace differences and disagreement to get things done and move forward.
  • Work digital-first for your daily work.
