Level 2 Childcare Apprenticeship – Clarence Lodge Nursery
Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 2 Childcare Apprenticeship at Clarence Lodge Nursery, St Albans. The Lodge at Clarence Park is a new nursery in St Albans, Hertfordshire. They offer childcare for children aged 6 months to 4 years. Located in a former family home within the beautiful Clarence Park, the nursery is just half a mile from central St Albans and accessible by public transport or road. Bus and train routes are available with parking also available. As well as benefitting from the park and central location, the nursery features its own secure outdoor play areas and homely indoor playrooms. Children can learn and develop with a wide variety of activities and toys, from art and music to outdoor games to dress up and role play.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Demonstrate a proactive approach by identifying tasks that need to be done and taking initiative without being directed.
- Follow guidance from staff while showing enthusiasm for learning childcare practices, policies, and procedures.
- Support and assist in the daily care and supervision of children in a safe, nurturing environment.
- Actively engage with children through play, learning activities, and creative experiences.
- Build positive, caring relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
Requirements:
- Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent or willing to work towards them.
Hours:
Clarence Lodge Nursery is open from 7:30am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be required to work 25 - 30 hours per week.
