Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship – Wind In the Willows - ABC Durrington (Term Time Only)
Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Wind In the Willows - ABC Durrington. Wind in the Willows @ ABC Durrington is a private preschool offering experienced childcare for children aged 2-5 years. Located in the heart of Durrington village, the centre has a dedicated team of staff focused on facilitating learning through play and providing a range of opportunities for children to thrive. They are open Monday to Friday.
Within the setting, we offer an environment that enables child-initiated play in order to capture the moments of engagement that matter. Careful observation by the teachers is key to utilising the approach of in the moment planning; the opportunities are endless and that is why we allow children to show their interest in an activity, which we as a setting can build upon to meet the needs of the children. We have 3 rooms and work with children from age 3 months up to preschool age.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Working as part of a team, supporting the children and taking care of all of their needs including all aspects of personal care.
- Planning the day’s activities, which would eventually develop into the role as a key person.
- Responsible for children’s next steps, safeguarding requirements, liaising with team leaders, staff and senior team members for the wellbeing of the children, and providing feedback on a daily basis.
- Undertaking regular supervisions, supporting the running of the room, and flexibility to work in various rooms within the setting.
- Must have a good understanding of the EYFS and be a good communicator as you will be liaising with parents.
Requirements:
- Some experience in a nursery setting would be desirable.
- Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent, or willing to work towards them.
Hours:
Wind In the Willows is open from 8:00am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday (Term Time Only). The successful candidate will be required to work 30 hours per week, patterns to be discussed.
