Little Petals Day Nursery is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 5 Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship. Our newly opened setting in the beautiful village of Sonning Common cares for children from as young as 3 months to preschoolers (3 months – 5yrs). We are open all year round from 7.30 am till 6.00 pm.
Your duties and responsibilities include:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the room
- Plan and deliver activities in line with EYFS and children’s individual needs
- Monitor children’s development and maintain accurate records
- Act as a key person, building strong relationships with children and families
- Lead, support, and supervise room staff
- Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and ratio requirements are met
- Maintain a clean, safe, and stimulating environment
- Communicate effectively with parents/carers and management
- Promote positive behaviour and support children’s development
- Contribute to observations, assessments, and planning
Requirements:
- A Level 3 Childcare qualification is essential
- Knowledge of EYFS and safeguarding
- Experience in a senior or supervisory childcare role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Must have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent
Hours:
Little Petals Day Nursery is open from 7:30am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be required to work 36 hours per week.
