Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship – Tweenies Day Nursery
Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 2 Childcare Apprenticeship at Tweenies Day Nursery, Evesham. Childcare isn't the easiest thing to arrange, so let us take that stress away from you. Tweenies Day Nursery has been a leading nursery school in Evesham since 1986. We aim to make your child's experience of nursery a fun and exciting one in which they can build confidence in themselves and their individual abilities by learning through play.
We have three rooms – ages 3 months to preschool room (36 months to 5 years). We pride ourselves on having a very low staff turnover, which reflects in how happy and settled the children are when they are here. They are more comfortable when the same faces are there each day to greet them. We have a bright two-story building which is a perfect learning place for your little ones, an enclosed outdoor baby garden especially for them, and a large garden for the older children. We also have good transport links around the nursery.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Learning the role of a key person for a small group of children
- Supporting the key workers and shadowing their daily routines
- Working with a group of children aged from babies to 5 years
- Working as part of a team
- Liaising with parents and updating them on their child’s progress
- Inputting with the daily routine and curriculum
- Assisting with setting up and implementing the daily activities
- Assisting with all aspects of personal care
- Assisting at mealtimes
- Responsibilities to safeguard the children in their care
They are looking for someone with a sound knowledge of the EYFS who is willing to become a Key Person. This person should be able to create a safe and stimulating environment with the ability to observe, plan, and support the children with their learning. Promote positive relationships with all children, parents, and colleagues whilst delivering high-quality childcare.
Requirements:
- A Level 2 Childcare qualification is essential
- Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent, or willing to work towards them
Hours:
Tweenies Day Nursery is open from 7:30am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be required to work 30 - 40 hours per week.
