Level 2 Childcare Apprenticeship â Banana Moon Day Nursery - Chipping Norton
Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 2 Childcare Apprenticeship / Early Years Lead Practitioner Apprenticeship at Banana Moon Day Nursery, Chipping Norton. The emphasis at Banana Moon is to see everything from a parentâs point of view. We appreciate we are being entrusted with the care of your most precious possessions; therefore, we have created a caring, loving and secure environment for children from 0 to 5 years of age.
Fingerprint Biometric Access Security is of paramount concern at Banana Moon. With this in mind we operate a âfingerprintâ biometric access system to protect children and nursery staff. This system allows nursery personnel to register parentâs fingerprints in seconds. Parents then simply press their fingerprint on a sensor pad at the door to gain fast, easy access. We operate an âopen houseâ policy where registered parents can enter the nursery any time of the day. They can leave or collect their children without fuss while unregistered visitors must await admission by a member of staff. The biometric system means members of staff can remain in constant supervision of the children.
Outdoor Play
In addition to all of our indoor activities and facilities, the children go outside every day throughout the year for fresh air and exercise. Banana Moon considers outdoor play to be an essential part of childrenâs learning and development. We believe that children need lots of variety of play and learning environments as part of their development. Playing and having the room to run around outside will not only improve their physical health, but will also stimulate their minds as they discover outdoor activities and experience the different seasons.
Sleep Room
We have a dedicated sleep room with soft lighting and natural wood cots. This calm and quiet room provides a restful environment for babies, allowing them to enjoy a comfortable nap without being disturbed by any external noise. Each child has their own bed linen, which is regularly laundered in-house. All sleeping babies are, of course, very closely monitored to ensure their safety and well-being. The sleep room is CCTV-monitored and members of staff regularly check in on the babies. In addition, we endeavour to adhere to your desired and established sleep routines at all times.
Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
The future of the next generation is at the heart of everything we do at Banana Moon, and we believe itâs our responsibility to support children in ways that reach beyond providing exceptional childcare. Weâve proudly introduced a number of safety initiatives under the âBright futuresâ title, helping us to ensure our little ones have the best chance of a bright future, no matter what life throws at us. Our âLittle hearts, bright futuresâ campaign saw us install an automated external defibrillator (AED) from CardiAid in our reception area. Although we hope that it will never have to be used, it provides reassurance to parents as we continue to demonstrate our commitment to safeguarding the little ones in our care, as well as serving the wider community.
CCTV
Banana Moon operates CCTV throughout the nursery. This added security is there for the protection and peace of mind of children, staff and parents. The presence of the external cameras also act as a powerful deterrent to any unwelcome visitors. All recorded footage is stored and erased after a set period in accordance with our privacy policy.
