Little me day Nurseries - Basingstoke is looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship. We are a family-owned company and pride ourselves on offering caring and nurturing environments for “little ones” in our nurseries. We appreciate the challenges faced by parents to leave their children at nursery, and we have used our own experiences to ensure our nurseries are clean, safe and welcoming.
The holistic care of children at nursery is largely dependent on a good relationship and communication between nursery staff and parents. Therefore, we endeavour to work in partnership with parents and keep them informed of all aspects of their child’s well-being and progress at nursery. Our managers operate an open door policy and are always happy to talk with parents regarding any issues or concerns.
Little me day Nurseries have 3 rooms - babies, toddler and preschool. We care for children between the ages of 3 months to 4 years and follow the EYFS framework.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Be an inspiring practitioner with a sound knowledge of child development.
- Be proficient in leading the delivery of all aspects of teaching and learning.
- Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Display a caring and nurturing attitude towards the children in your care.
Role responsibilities include:
- To observe, plan and assess children’s learning and development within the EYFS framework.
- Develop positive partnerships with parents.
- To keep on top of and be aware of all safeguarding needs at all times.
Requirements:
- A Level 2 Childcare qualification is essential.
- You must be able to gain a clear DBS.
- Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English Language, or equivalent.
Hours:
Little me day Nurseries, Basingstoke is open from 7:15am – 6:30pm Monday to Friday. The successful candidate will be required to work 40 hours per week.
