Level 3Childcare Apprenticeship–Finkley Down Farm Nursery and Pre School

Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliableand hardworking individual to complete their Level 3Childcare Apprenticeshipat Finkley Down Farm Nursery and Pre School, Andover.

Requirements

  • A Level 2 Childcare qualification would be desirable but not essential
  • You must be able to gain a clear DBS
  • Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent or willing to work towards them

At Finkley Nursery in Andover, every day brings something new to explore.

Set within the grounds of the award-winning Finkley Down Farm, this unique nursery is made up of two purpose-built buildings, each thoughtfully designed to give children the very best start in life.

The Bungalow(catchy name, we know) is home to our youngest children under two.

It’s a calm, nurturing space with its own peaceful garden, cosy lounge area, and dedicated baby soft play.

Everything is carefully designed to support sensory play, early exploration, and strong attachments with familiar adults.

Just across the way, The Farmhouseis where our toddlers and preschoolers learn, play and grow.

With open-plan rooms, direct access to outdoor space, a dedicated sensory room, and even its own yurt, it’s a vibrant, engaging environment that encourages independence, curiosity and creativity.

As part of Finkley Down Farm, our children have the privilege of accessing the farm throughout the day — it’s part of everyday life at our nursery.

Whether it’s collecting eggs, visiting the animals, or enjoying the soft play, the farm is always open for our children to explore, learn, and grow.

Every day brings something new and exciting at Finkley — hands-on experiences, real-world learning, and memories that last a lifetime.

You’ll be a key part of creating incredible early years experiences and will be responsible for:

  • Deliver engaging, hands-on learning through EYFS
  • Be a key person — supporting children’s development and wellbeing
  • Plan, observe, and track progress using Famly
  • Support all children, including those with SEND
  • Work closely with your team to create a positive environment
  • Build strong relationships with parents
  • Maintain high standards of safety, hygiene and organisation
  • Assist at mealtimes and all aspects of personal care

  • Finkley Down Farm Nursery and Pre School is open from 7:30am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday
  • The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5hours per week
