Shoots Training are looking for an enthusiastic, reliable and hardworking individual to complete their Level 3 Childcare Apprenticeship at Stepping Stones Nursery School - Amersham.

At Stepping Stones Nursery in Amersham, every day is an adventure in learning. Inside, our bright and welcoming rooms are thoughtfully arranged to inspire imagination, encourage communication and develop essential early skills. From role play corners to sensory exploration areas, each space is designed to spark curiosity and creativity. Our dedicated team, many with over a decade of childcare experience, provides nurturing high quality care tailored to each child’s needs. At Stepping Stones, we believe every child’s journey is unique, and we are here to help them take their earliest steps with joy, wonder and confidence.

We have 2 rooms for toddlers and pre-school, and care for children between 9 months to 5 years. We follow the EYFS framework, and extended activities, like dance class and yoga classes. We have good local transport links around the Nursery.

Your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Be an inspiring practitioner with a sound knowledge of child development.
  • Be proficient in leading the delivery of all aspects of teaching and learning.
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Display a caring and nurturing attitude towards the children in your care.

Role responsibilities include:

  • Act as designated key person for an allocated number of children.
  • To observe, plan and assess children’s learning and development within the EYFS framework.
  • Develop positive partnership with parents.

Requirements:

Preferably have GCSE grades A*-C or 4-9 in Maths and English, or equivalent or willing to work towards them.

Hours:

Stepping Stones Nursery School is open from 7:30am – 6:00pm Monday to Friday (Term Time Only). The successful candidate will be required to work 30+ hours per week.
