This position is a hybrid role, 3 Days WFH - Need to be flexible.

Salary: ÂŁ36,000 per annum, plus commission

Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week (8.30am - 5pm)

About the role

The Marketing Manager is responsible for leading and delivering all marketing activity across Shoots Training, ensuring marketing directly supports business growth through employer engagement, learner recruitment, and vacancy fulfilment.

This is a strategic and hands-on role, accountable for developing and executing integrated marketing plans that support B2B sales of funded and privately funded education provision, employer vacancy generation, and recruitment marketing. Working closely with the Director of Business Development, the Marketing Manager translates commercial objectives into effective marketing strategies, leads the marketing team, and uses insight and data to continuously improve outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned to Shoots Training’s commercial objectives, funding priorities, and growth plans.
  • Ensure marketing activity supports the full employer and learner journey, from lead generation through to enrolment and vacancy fulfilment.
  • Act as the senior marketing lead, building strong working relationships across business development, recruitment, operations, and curriculum teams.
  • Design and deliver targeted employer-focused (B2B) marketing campaigns to support apprenticeships, skills bootcamps, study programmes, and privately funded provision.
  • Work closely with the Business Development team to align marketing activity with priority sectors, geographies, and funding opportunities.
  • Lead recruitment and learner marketing activity to attract suitable candidates and fill employer vacancies.
  • Oversee all learner-facing marketing to ensure compliance with funding, ESFA, safeguarding, and organisational requirements.
  • Maintain and develop all marketing channels, including website content, digital campaigns, social media, email marketing, SEO, and advertising.
  • Ensure all marketing communications are accurate, compliant, and aligned with Shoots brand guidelines.
  • Use marketing insight and performance data to inform planning, monitor ROI, and improve conversion rates.
  • Provide regular performance reporting and updates to the Director of Business Development.
  • Lead, line manage, and develop the Shoots Marketing Team, setting clear objectives and expectations.
  • Ensure effective processes, best practice, and continuous improvement across the marketing function.
  • Ensure all marketing activity complies with legislation, funding rules, internal policies, and organisational values.

Essential Qualifications

  • Relevant qualification or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, or a related discipline.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Professional marketing qualification (e.g. CIM or equivalent).

  • Proven experience managing and developing a marketing team.
  • At least three years’ experience in a marketing role.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to develop and deliver strategic and operational marketing plans.
  • Data-driven approach with the ability to analyse performance and ROI.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and stakeholders.
  • Adaptability and resilience in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
