Shooting Stars Nurseries is thrilled to be opening a brand‑new, fully refurbished nursery in Tettenhall — and we’re looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Nursery Cook/Chef to join our team from the very beginning!

If you are passionate about imbedding healthy eating practises from a younger age, helping children to understand healthy choices and delivering food options in an exciting and attractive way this might just be the job for you!
Role: Nursery Cook/Chef
Hours: 7.30am to 3pm, 35 hours per week over 5 days. The nursery is open Monday to Friday, between 7.30am to 6pm all year round except bank holidays.
Responsibilities:
- Cook in charge experience, menu planning, costing, purchasing and safe food storage.
- Experience in preparing and serving food for people with allergies and special dietary requirements.
- Experience catering for children under 5 years old and/or working in a kitchen based in a nursery, school, nursing home or hospital.
- Supervisory experience.
Qualifications:
- Essential: Level 2 or above food hygiene certificate.
- Desirable: Level 3 food hygiene, food allergy awareness, knowledge of working with safer food better business practices or a catering/hospitality qualification.
