Are you an experienced Early Years Room Leader or Senior Practitioner ready to take the next step? Shooting Stars Nursery, Bromsgrove is looking for a warm, confident and passionate Pre‑Toddler Room Leader to join our friendly and committed team. This is a rewarding opportunity to lead our Pre‑Toddler room, supporting children through this vital stage of development while mentoring and inspiring a small team of practitioners.
The Role
As Pre‑Toddler Room Leader, you will take responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of the room, ensuring outstanding care, learning and development. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and motivating the Pre‑Toddler team to deliver high‑quality care and education
- Acting as a Key Person and building strong, trusted relationships with families
- Planning engaging, child‑led activities in line with the EYFS
- Supporting children’s emotional, physical and developmental needs
- Ensuring safeguarding, welfare and quality standards are met at all times
- Creating a calm, nurturing and stimulating environment
- Coaching, mentoring and supporting practitioners within the room
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a caring and confident early years professional who understands the unique needs of this age group and leads with positivity.
- Level 3 (or above) full and relevant Early Years qualification
- Experience working within a children’s day nursery
- Previous experience as a Room Leader, Senior Practitioner or Team Leader
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and SEND
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for high‑quality childcare
