Location: Shooting Stars Nursery, Kings Norton, B30 3QJ

Salary: £15.30 per hour | £31,824 per annum

Contract: Full‑time | 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday

Hours: 7:30am–6:00pm | All year round | Closed on bank holidays

Who We’re Looking For

  • We’re seeking a confident and energetic early years professional who leads with kindness, clarity and creativity.
  • Level 3 (or above) full and relevant Early Years qualification
  • Experience working in a children’s day nursery
  • Previous Room Leader or Team Leader experience
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and SEND
  • Ability to build warm, trusting relationships with young children and their families
  • A genuine passion for child‑led, play‑based learning in the early years

About the role

You will play a key role in shaping the care, routines and learning experiences for the babies and toddlers in your room. In this role, you will:

  • Lead and inspire a team to deliver exceptional care and early learning
  • Act as a Key Person, building strong and reassuring parent partnerships
  • Plan stimulating, sensory‑rich activities tailored to individual needs
  • Ensure the room consistently meets EYFS, health & safety and safeguarding standards
  • Create a nurturing, calm and inclusive environment
  • Support, coach and motivate Early Years Practitioners
  • Champion high‑quality practice and reflective teamwork
