Are you an experienced Room Leader or Senior Early Years Practitioner who thrives on leading teams, shaping practice and delivering exceptional care for our youngest children? At Shooting Stars Nursery Bromsgrove, we’re looking for a skilled and confident Pre‑Toddler Room Leader to take ownership of a well‑established room, guiding children through this vital stage of development while mentoring and inspiring a dedicated team. This role is ideal for an experienced practitioner who understands the complexity of early development, values high standards and enjoys combining leadership responsibility with hands‑on practice.
The Role
As Pre‑Toddler Room Leader, you’ll be trusted to lead the room day‑to‑day, maintaining consistently high standards of care, learning and wellbeing. You will:
- Take full responsibility for the smooth running of the Pre‑Toddler room
- Lead, motivate and support your team to deliver high‑quality, child‑centred practice
- Act as a Key Person, building secure, professional and trusted partnerships with families
- Plan and oversee engaging, developmentally appropriate learning aligned with the EYFS
- Support children’s emotional security, communication, physical development and independence
- Ensure safeguarding, welfare, health & safety and quality standards are met at all times
- Coach, mentor and support practitioners, students and apprentices
- Contribute to reflective practice, continuous improvement and Ofsted readiness
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a confident, knowledgeable professional who leads with warmth, clarity and purpose. You’ll bring:
- A Level 3 (or above) full and relevant Early Years qualification
- Strong experience within a children’s day nursery setting
- Previous experience as a Room Leader, Senior Practitioner or Team Leader
- In‑depth knowledge of the EYFS, safeguarding and inclusive practice, including SEND
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- A calm, organised approach and a genuine passion for high‑quality early years provision
