The Fundraising and Volunteer Database Manager will lead on the effective management and development of our fundraising and volunteer databases, ensuring accurate data, smooth integrations and high-quality reporting. The post holder will be responsible for the effective processing of all fundraising data, working with Fundraising and Marketing to enable accurate and appropriate communications with supporters and volunteers, helping to attract, retain and maximise support and deliver excellent supporter experiences.
You will lead on database management, ensuring smooth data processing, cleansing and housekeeping, and oversee system integrations that connect the CRM with donation platforms, the website and finance systems. You will produce regular and ad hoc reports (advanced Excel skills are essential, and SQL experience is a bonus), and manage data selections, segmentation and mailing lists to support high-quality fundraising and marketing activity. You will also deliver training and guidance on Raiser’s Edge, support month‑end processes for the Finance team, and drive continuous system improvements, upgrades and automation across data workflows. This is a hybrid role involving 3 days in Shooting Star House and 2 days working from home.
To succeed in this role, you will bring strong CRM and data management experience, combining excellent attention to detail with the confidence to support colleagues across the Fundraising and Finance to use data well. You will be an experienced Fundraising Database Manager with significant experience (minimum 2–3 years) using Raiser’s Edge / Raiser’s Edge NXT, and a strong understanding of data administration, data quality and CRM best practice. Highly analytical with excellent problem‑solving skills, you will be comfortable producing reports and explaining technical concepts to non‑technical users. Ideally, you will have experience using SQL Server tools such as SSRS and SSIS. You will work collaboratively with fundraising, finance, communications and volunteering team, and you will be proactive, organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
