We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Conveyancer to join our Swiitch team in either Solent or Northampton.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong technical residential conveyancing experience who is confident handling complex matters, supporting colleagues and providing high-quality technical guidance across the team.
You will act as a technical specialist within the conveyancing team, supporting more complex transactions, escalated queries, risk matters and quality standards.
You will work closely with colleagues to ensure files are progressed efficiently, client service remains high, and technical or compliance issues are identified and managed appropriately.
This role would suit an experienced Senior Conveyancer, Technical Conveyancer, Conveyancing Manager, or an experienced residential property specialist who is confident dealing with more complex and technical conveyancing work.
The team Shoosmiths' Conveyancing Team, Swiitch, offers a highly professional conveyancing service designed to make the process of buying or selling property as efficient and stress-free as possible for clients.
Shoosmiths remains the largest firm of conveyancing solicitors accredited under the Law Society's Conveyancing Quality Scheme.
- Act as a technical specialist within the conveyancing team.
- Manage complex residential conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion.
- Handle freehold and leasehold sale and purchase transactions.
- Deal with new build and shared ownership transactions.
- Deal with transfers of equity and remortgages.
- Check and report on title, identifying and resolving technical issues where appropriate.
- Deal with complex title issues, including drafting transfers of part, overage agreements, option agreements, rural transactions, drafting new leases, deeds of easements and transactions involving Trusts.
- Manage high-volume caseloads in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Handle more technical or escalated conveyancing matters.
- Work with developers, lenders, referrers and housebuilder clients.
- Provide technical guidance and support to paralegals, junior colleagues and wider team members.
- Support file reviews, compliance, risk management and quality control.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, work providers, referrers, lenders, developers, housebuilders and suppliers.
- Deliver a high standard of customer care to all clients and work providers.
- Support team performance, process improvement and technical knowledge sharing.
- Significant experience in residential conveyancing.
- Strong technical knowledge of the conveyancing process.
- Experience handling unregistered, freehold and leasehold sale and purchase transactions.
- Experience of new build transactions, shared ownership transactions, transfer of equity and remortgages.
- Confident checking and reporting on title.
- Experienced in handling complex conveyancing transactions including drafting transfers of part, overage agreements, option agreements, rural transactions, ng new leases, deeds of variation, deeds of easements and handling transactions involving Trusts.
- To have experience in dealing with high value properties and high net worth clients and to be able to offer a bespoke customer service to meet those client needs.
- Ability to manage high-volume caseloads with minimal supervision.
- Experience handling more technical or escalated conveyancing matters.
- Experience working with developers, lenders, referrers or housebuilder clients.
- Ability to supervise, support or mentor junior team members.
- Good understanding of file reviews, compliance, risk management and quality control.
- Strong client relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and conveyancing/case management systems.
