shoezone has an opportunity for a Warehouse Team Leader to join our team based in our warehouse in Leicester. The role is full-time (38.33 hours per week), permanent, with a competitive salary. Shift: Sunday‐Thursday, 14:20‐22:30.

About shoezone: We are a town‐centre, retail‐park and digital footwear retailer, offering low price and high‐quality footwear for the whole family, with free next day delivery on all orders, seven days a week. We operate from 270 stores and have approximately 2,100 employees across the UK.

Team Leader role: As a Team Leader, your key role will be to ensure the daily and weekly operations of the distribution tasks are maintained in a cost‐effective and efficient manner. You will have the opportunity to develop and be supported through a Team Leader Supervisor Apprenticeship.

  • Lead by example in terms of time and attendance and maintain a positive 'can‐do' attitude.
  • Train and develop your people to achieve business goals and support their success.
  • Oversee distribution operations while being an active hands‐on member of the team.
  • Ensure company policies, procedures and Health & Safety requirements are followed.
  • Manage the performance of Warehouse Operatives within your area of responsibility.
  • Report progress updates, key achievements and concerns to the Shift Controller and/or Operations Manager.

What we’re looking for:

  • A keen interest in developing and understanding all processes and systems within the Distribution Centre.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with the rest of the Distribution Centre team.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Good planning skills.
  • Ability to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
