Shoe Zone has an opportunity for a Digital Marketing Assistant to join our team based at our head office in Leicester. You will join us on a full time (37.5 hours), permanent basis and in return, you will receive a salary of £24,904.85.
We are a town centre, retail park and digital footwear retailer, offering low price and high-quality footwear for the whole family, with free next day delivery on all orders, seven days a week. We operate from 270 stores and have approximately 2,100 employees across the UK. Our store portfolio consists of 61 town centre stores, which stock the core shoezone product range and 162 hybrid town centre stores and 45 larger retail park stores which also stock additional brands such as Skechers, Hush Puppies and Kickers. shoezone.com, which stocks online exclusive footwear, combined with our store network and marketplaces, ensures a full multi‑channel offering for great customer service.
We are looking for an individual to join our digital marketing team, who is highly organised, efficient, a great communicator, and is keen to progress their career in marketing. Ideally with experience in a similar role or a marketing degree, you must have strong copywriting skills and impeccable attention to detail, with the ability to problem solve and help others.
As a Digital Marketing Assistant, you will be responsible for all digital content on the shoezone website, app, blog and social media. You will work closely with our digital/SEO agency to ensure that all content is optimised correctly and assist with projects to help drive traffic to shoezone.com. You will report into the Digital Marketing Co‑ordinator but will work alongside the wider team in your day‑to‑day tasks. Aside from specific responsibilities listed below, you may be required to undertake other tasks which help us to deliver a high standard digital experience to our customers.
- Understand our brand and customers to write engaging and optimised copy, ensuring it is regularly updated and relevant to the product offering.
- Liaise with our external digital/SEO agency to request and upload optimised informational and functional copy, including proof‑reading to ensure that this fits with the brand’s tone of voice.
- Set up and maintain promotions on the main website, ensuring these are accurately updated.
- Write accurate and detailed product descriptions for new seasonal lines.
- Brief and liaise with the in‑house design team to request graphics for the shoezone website, app, social media and PPC ads.
- Monitor and report on website and app content performance using Google Analytics.
- General digital marketing admin, and ad‑hoc tasks.
