A highly challenging role with a focus on analysing data from a variety of sources, generating insights and communicating them effectively to support the successful delivery of client projects at SHM. It combines planning, data analysis, critical thinking, research, producing content, writing, editing, briefing, coordinating and proofreading. The successful candidate will work across SHM’s corporate projects to ensure we are engaging with our clients in the right way and that the content we are delivering to them is of the highest quality and includes some statistics if appropriate.
Core Responsibilities
- Gathering, analysing, interpreting, and communicating qualitative and quantitative data and research.
- Creating presentations, communications and documents that capture insights, analysis of qualitative and quantitative data and recommendations in a clear and compelling manner.
- Planning the lifecycle of projects in detail and making sure that they are delivered within agreed budgets and timeframes.
- Participating in and providing support for client project meetings, events and workshops, including note-taking and action planning.
- Creating clear and concise internal briefings ensuring any data is explained with clarity.
- Cultivating strong and trusted client relationships.
Additional Activities (as needed)
- Presenting written work to internal audiences for review.
- Conducting interviews and other research.
- Creating, planning and implementing recommendations, interventions and solutions for clients.
- Supporting colleagues with their workloads during busy periods.

- Positive and flexible: Approach tasks with a highly creative, can-do manner. Be proactive and flexible, willing to work outside of office hours where necessary. Feel comfortable working and developing expertise across many industries and topics, in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player: Have a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team and with people at all levels in an organisation.
- Proficient in basic tools: Be competent in the Microsoft Office suite, including Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel in particular. Learn how to use Asana to track and manage projects on a daily basis.
Qualifications & Experience
- Required: Bachelor’s degree and excellent academic record. We particularly welcome candidates who have studied science-based subjects or degrees that promote strong analytical skills.
- Required: Fluency in English.
- Preferred: Some recent experience in working directly with clients.
- Desired: Experience working in a similar role or field.
