What you will be doing
Work with the Head of Tax to deliver tax strategy and assist key business informed-choices
Own key UK and European tax matters, including compliance relationships
Provide clear, commercial tax advice to finance, commercial and operational teams
Assist tax projects, acquisitions, divestments, audits and post-merger integration
Assist with tax reporting for statutory financial statements and forecasting
Assist R&D, Patent Box planning and wider tax team initiatives
Act as a trusted tax business partner across the UK and European region
What we are looking for from you
Qualified Accountant or Chartered Tax Advisor with 5+ years PQE
Strong UK tax technical knowledge
Excellent communication and influencing skills
Commercial, risk-aware approach to tax matters
Tax accounting experience
Experience supporting transactions or post-merger integrations
Familiarity with PE-backed businesses
Familiarity with R&D or Patent Box
You’ll also be comfortable managing competing priorities, working with multiple stakeholders and explaining complex tax matters in a clear, practical way. We’re looking for someone who takes accountability, stays curious and focuses on delivering solutions.
