Your Next Role: As a HR Advisor supporting our Corporate UK & Ireland teams, you'll play a pivotal role as a trusted partner to both managers and employees. This is a true HR generalist position, offering exposure across the full employee lifecycle and the opportunity to develop deep expertise in all areas of people management. You'll build strong, credible relationships across the business while delivering proactive, commercially focused HR support. From recruitment and onboarding to engagement, development and retention, you'll help shape an exceptional employee experience that drives performance and supports business growth. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, this permanent role is based in our fabulous London Head Office – the hub of our mission to create beauty innovations for a better world.
Your Responsibilities: As a HR Advisor at Shiseido, no two days are the same. This is a dynamic and varied role where you will:
- Partner with the business – act as a trusted advisor to Corporate line managers and employees, providing expert, forward‑thinking guidance across all aspects of people management, including succession, performance, engagement, development, and retention.
- Own employee relations – lead on ER matters with confidence and professionalism, providing end‑to‑end support and resolution, while escalating complex cases where appropriate.
- Drive policy and best practice – support the HRBP in evolving HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with legislation and best practice, and keeping stakeholders informed and engaged.
- Develop others – coach and support the People & Culture Coordinator, enabling them to deliver high‑quality HR support and grow their capability.
- Be a data‑driven generalist – act as a champion for HR data, owning metrics and insights for the Corporate population. Analyse trends, create meaningful dashboards, and translate data into actionable insights that inform strategic decisions.
- Enhance processes – continuously identify opportunities to improve HR processes, systems, and ways of working to increase efficiency and business impact.
- Contribute to the wider team – provide support to the Retail population during peak periods, broadening your exposure and experience across the wider business.
- Ensure operational excellence – oversee HR systems and data integrity in partnership with the HR Coordinator, ensuring smooth processes and reliable reporting.
- Get involved and grow – take ownership of, and contribute to, a variety of HR projects and initiatives, offering excellent opportunities to expand your skill set and progress your HR career.
Your Background: Strong knowledge of employment law and HR practices. Generalist HR background with proven track record of delivering an effective HR advisory service within a fast‑changing customer‑driven environment. Team orientated, a natural at being able to communicate and build relationships confidently in a clear and engaging way. Proactive and can‑do attitude, able to work on own initiative and demonstrate tenacity and resilience. Able to work in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment; excellent time management and organisational skills, being able to meet tight deadlines. Able to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated analytical thinking, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills. Able to listen to and balance the needs of the employees and the needs of the organization. Comfortable in providing feedback and positively challenge. Able to successfully manage change and deal with ambiguous situations. Able to interact with all levels of management in a fast paced, high growth, changing environment.
