A leading civil engineering/utilities specialist is seeking a Health and Safety professional to join the business to support its projects across the West Midlands region, predominantly in Worcestershire and the Birmingham region. The position will be hybrid with a mix of office, site and home working.

The ideal candidate will have strong utilities experience and be able to work autonomously, be an effective communicator and a proactive individual.

The Health & Safety Advisor will be responsible for:

  • Driven and enthusiastic individual with a passion for health & safety
  • Site-focused, carrying out audits and inspections across the project
  • Able to work autonomously and manage their own diary and workload
  • Support the team to create a positive health & safety culture
  • Lead on accident investigations and near misses to identify root causes and implement improvement plans
  • Promote Health & Safety initiatives
  • Manage internal & external stakeholders

The Health & Safety Advisor will have:

  • ~3+ years of experience working in health & safety
  • ~NEBOSH qualified
  • ~Experience working in utilities would be preferred, but heavy civil engineering is considered
  • ~Happy to travel across the West Midlands Region in a hybrid position
