A leading civil engineering/utilities specialist is seeking a Health and Safety professional to join the business to support its projects across the West Midlands region, predominantly in Worcestershire and the Birmingham region. The position will be hybrid with a mix of office, site and home working.
The ideal candidate will have strong utilities experience and be able to work autonomously, be an effective communicator and a proactive individual.
The Health & Safety Advisor will be responsible for:
- Driven and enthusiastic individual with a passion for health & safety
- Site-focused, carrying out audits and inspections across the project
- Able to work autonomously and manage their own diary and workload
- Support the team to create a positive health & safety culture
- Lead on accident investigations and near misses to identify root causes and implement improvement plans

The Health & Safety Advisor will have:
- ~3+ years of experience working in health & safety
- ~NEBOSH qualified
- ~Experience working in utilities would be preferred, but heavy civil engineering is considered
