We’re proud to be partnered with a leading UK engineering & infrastructure organisation delivering a major low-carbon programme in the North East. This site-based role puts you at the heart of a nationally significant project driving the UK’s net-zero transition.
The role at a glance: You’ll act as the environmental specialist for the contract - guiding teams, shaping compliance, managing supply chain standards, and ensuring environmental performance is consistently high across a complex brownfield site.
What you’ll be doing:
- Driving compliance: Support leadership and site teams to apply SHE standards and meet all regulatory requirements.
- Upskilling teams: Deliver practical training and coaching so environmental awareness becomes everyday practice.
- Owning reporting: Produce timely environmental data and insights that influence decisions and improvement plans.
- Engaging the supply chain: Review contractor documentation, check compliance, and raise performance expectations.
- Strengthening assurance: Participate in audits, close out findings, and embed lessons learned.
- Investigating issues: Support incident investigations and help prevent repeat events with clear, actionable insights.
