About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Civil Design Engineer to join a major water infrastructure / non-infrastructure program. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex projects within the regulated water sector, delivering innovative and efficient design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality design deliverables that meet safety and compliance standards.
- Develop efficient design solutions based on project scopes and site assessments, and communicate these effectively to stakeholders.
- Lead and mentor CAD technicians, junior designers, and graduates.
- Prepare design risk assessments, technical reports, and specifications.
- Ensure compliance with relevant technical and industry standards.
- Manage design package changes and maintain accurate documentation.
- Estimate resource requirements for design packages.
- Present designs at technical meetings such as HAZOP, ALM, and similar forums.
Essential Experience & Skills
- Minimum 10 years' design experience in the regulated water industry.
- Strong background in hydraulic calculations and hydraulic profile preparation.
- Experience with both clean water and wastewater systems.
- Skilled in infrastructure and non-infrastructure designs, including outline and detailed design.
- Aware of construction methods and materials.
- Knowledge of Engineering Drawing Practices.
- Excellent technical knowledge and problem-solving ability.
