We are seeking an experienced CDM / Health & Safety Manager to join a globally recognised organisation, taking the lead on Health & Safety across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects. The role will provide responsibility across the full project lifecycle, with a particular focus on CDM Regulations, Building Regulations and project safety from initial concept and design through to delivery and completion.
Projects will span a wide variety of areas including civil engineering, construction, maintenance, HVAC and wider infrastructure works, creating a varied position where no two days are the same. Initially, this will be a stand-alone role, offering significant autonomy and ownership, with the opportunity to develop and grow a team as the function and project portfolio expand.
The Health & Safety Auditor will be responsible for:
- Working with the site team to ensure compliance across CDM & Health & Safety for the life-cycle of the projects
- Leading and conducting accident investigations when required and sharing findings
- Supporting the development and implementation of the Health and Safety strategy
- Deputising for the Head of Health and Safety when required
- Managing internal & external stakeholders, building strong working relationships
The Health & Safety Auditor will have:
- 3 years + experience working in health & safety
- NEBOSH Certificate or NEBOSH Construction minimum
- Experience working in civil engineering or the construction industry
- CDM knowledge is a must for the position
- Strong relationship builder across all levels of the business
- Able to adapt to different projects in a complex environment
