Sevenoaks School is seeking an experienced Fire Safety Advisor to support the delivery of a comprehensive fire safety management system across its school sites, properties and activities. Working closely with the Health & Safety Manager and departments across the school, you will help ensure compliance with fire safety legislation, industry standards and best practice while promoting a positive safety culture throughout the organisation

The Fire Safety Advisor will be responsible for:

    \n
  • Lead the review and development of fire safety policies and procedures.
  • \n

  • Coordinate Fire Risk Assessments, audits and inspections.
  • \n

  • Oversee fire alarm, detection and emergency systems.
  • \n

  • Develop and review evacuation plans and fire drills.
  • \n

  • Deliver and coordinate fire safety training.
  • \n

  • Investigate fire-related incidents and provide recommendations.
  • \n

  • Liaise with contractors, emergency services and regulatory bodies.
  • \n

  • Provide expert fire safety advice across school activities and events.
  • \n

The Fire Safety Advisor will have:

\n

    \n
  • Experience managing fire safety in a complex environment.
  • \n

  • Excellent knowledge of current fire safety legislation and best practice.
  • \n

  • Proven ability to provide practical fire safety solutions.
  • \n

  • Relevant fire safety qualifications and memberships (e.g. Institute of Fire Engineers).
  • \n
