We are working with a leading high-end commercial fit-out contractor, renowned for delivering technically complex, design-led projects across London's most prestigious commercial spaces. Due to continued growth, they are seeking a Senior Health & Safety Manager to join the team on a predominantly site-based role across London.
The Role
- Reporting into the Head of Health and Safety, you will play a key role in ensuring robust health and safety standards are embedded across our projects from inception through to completion.
- Carrying out regular site inspections and audits across multiple live commercial fit-out projects.
- Leading and managing accident and incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Providing clear, practical health and safety guidance to site teams, subcontractors, and project managers.
- Liaising closely with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders, representing the business in a professional and solutions-focused manner.
- Supporting project teams with method statements, risk assessments, and safe systems of work.
- Monitoring compliance with UK health and safety legislation, company procedures, and client requirements.
- Contributing to continuous improvement of health and safety culture across the business.
About You
- To be successful in this role, you will be a proactive and commercially aware health and safety professional with strong communication skills and proven site experience.
- You will ideally have demonstrable experience in a site-based Health & Safety role within construction or commercial fit-out.
- A strong background in site inspections and accident investigations.
- Experience working on high-end or fast-track commercial projects.
- The confidence to liaise effectively with clients, principal designers, subcontractors, and senior stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and reporting skills.
- Relevant Health & Safety qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent).
- A pragmatic, hands-on approach with the credibility to influence site teams.
