Shirley Parsons has partnered with a leading consultancy firm at the forefront of fire safety and risk management. Specialising in high-risk industries including nuclear, defence, industrial, and commercial sectors, they are looking for a Senior Fire Safety Engineer to join their Fire Safety Team. Based from one of their key UK offices with hybrid working, this role offers the opportunity to deliver complex fire engineering solutions, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to nationally significant projects across the UK.

The Senior Fire Safety Engineer will be responsible for:
– Delivering technical fire engineering and safety projects across high-risk environments.
– Developing bespoke fire safety strategies beyond standard compliance.
– Conducting fire hazard analyses, modelling, and interpreting results.
– Advising on fire detection, suppression, and control systems.
– Mentoring junior engineers and supporting client relationships.

The Senior Fire Safety Engineer will have:
– Experience delivering fire engineering projects, ideally in consultancy.
– A degree in Fire Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
– Strong knowledge of UK fire safety regulations and standards (e.g. Approved Document B, BS 9999, PD 7974).
– Excellent communication, report writing, and stakeholder engagement skills.
– A proactive, detail-oriented approach with a commitment to high standards.
