This role is based in the beautiful town of Peterhead, Scotland, and supports one of the UK’s top power transmission and distribution divisions. As our Senior Environmental Sustainability Advisor, you’ll be at the heart of delivering environmental and sustainability goals across large-scale infrastructure projects. You’ll collaborate closely with on-site teams, ensuring we meet environmental standards and contribute to long-term sustainability. What You’ll Do:

  • Be the Go-To Expert: Provide top-notch advice and guidance to our on-site teams on all things environmental across three bustling construction sites.
  • Champion Sustainability: Craft and maintain local environmental management and sustainability plans that make a real difference.
  • Lead by Example: Ensure we’re always compliant with environmental legislation while coaching our teams on the best controls and mitigation measures.
  • Build Strong Connections: Forge and nurture strong relationships with regulators, clients, and subcontractors, making sure everyone’s on the same page.
  • Be the Problem Solver: Investigate and report any environmental incidents to our Environment & Sustainability Project Partner, ensuring swift and effective action.

  • Experienced Professional: You’ve got a solid background in environmental management, ideally within construction or related sectors. Knowledge of environmental legislation, ecology, and groundwork is a big plus!
