Are you an experienced electrical engineer ready to take on complex infrastructure challenges across the UK and beyond?
A leading independent consultancy is looking for a Senior Electrical Consulting Engineer to join its team on a minimum 12-month contract. This hybrid role offers flexibility to work remotely and from regional offices, with opportunities to contribute to high-impact projects in energy transition, water systems, and sustainable infrastructure.
🔧 What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading electrical design and delivery for transmission and distribution systems.
- Producing technical specifications, feasibility studies, and concept designs.
- Advising on major infrastructure projects and supporting due diligence.
- Designing cable systems and substations, including equipment selection.
- Participating in FAT, SAT, and commissioning activities.
- Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical development.
🎯 What We’re Looking For
- Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering (BEng/BSc minimum).
- Experience in UK electricity networks and infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with switchgear, transformers, and compensation systems.
- Knowledge of protection and control systems is a plus.
- Consulting or project delivery experience preferred.
- Chartered Engineer status or working towards it is desirable.
