This is a site-based role carrying out fire risk assessments in line with BAFE SP205 and current UK fire safety legislation, producing clear, auditable reports and supporting quality and compliance standards.
The Role- Carry out fire risk assessments in accordance with BAFE SP205 and UK fire safety legislation
- Inspect sites, identify fire hazards, and assess existing fire safety measures
- Produce high-quality, auditable fire risk assessment reports
- Support internal QA, peer reviews, and technical review processes
- Act as Lead Fire Risk Assessor where competence allows
- Experience completing fire risk assessments in non-domestic and/or residential buildings
- Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation
- NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate (or equivalent)
- Level 3+ Fire Risk Assessment qualification
- Registered or eligible for registration on an SP205-recognised scheme (IFE, IFSM, FRACS)
- Full UK driving licence or ability to travel independently
- Experience within a BAFE SP205-certified organisation
- Higher-risk residential or complex mixed-use buildings experience
