We’re partnered with a leading UK-based contractor in the construction and infrastructure sector, recognised for delivering complex, high-profile projects, and they’re looking for an Environmental Advisor (Work Winning) to join their team based in Canary Wharf.
This is a fantastic opportunity to influence projects at the earliest stage, supporting work-winning activities by embedding environmental best practice, identifying risks, and helping shape successful, sustainable outcomes.
You’ll act as the environmental lead across tenders, working closely with pre-construction, commercial, planning, and sustainability teams to ensure environmental considerations are fully integrated from the outset.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Lead Environmental Input at Tender Stage – Act as the main point of contact for environmental matters across pre-construction, developing clear risk profiles for each opportunity.
- Identify & Manage Environmental Risks – Highlight key constraints, required surveys, permits, and licences, ensuring risks are understood early and managed effectively.
- Support Winning Bids – Contribute to PQQs and tender submissions, presenting clear environmental strategies to clients and stakeholders.
- Collaborate Across Teams – Work with commercial and planning teams to ensure environmental risks are accurately costed and programmed.
- Drive Compliance & Best Practice – Embed the Environmental Management System (EMS) and support smooth project handovers with robust environmental data and insights.
Who They’re Looking For:
- Environmental Specialist – Strong knowledge of environmental legislation and ISO 14001, with experience in construction, civils, or a related sector.
- Work-Winning Experience – Proven ability to support tenders or pre-construction activities with environmental input.
- Confident Communicator – Strong presentation and stakeholder engagement skills, able to influence both internal teams and clients.
- Proactive & Solutions-Focused – A self-starter who can manage multiple priorities, identify risks early, and deliver practical solutions.
