Health & Safety Advisor Construction, Refurbishment & Licensed Asbestos Removal Company Car or Car Allowance + Benefits Full-Time, Permanent Our client is a well-established specialist contractor operating across the construction sector, delivering refurbishment, demolition, enabling works, and licensed asbestos removal projects throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join their team and play a key role in supporting project delivery across a diverse portfolio of works. This is a field-based position requiring five days per week on site, with overnight stays as required. The successful candidate will be trusted to work autonomously, managing their own diary and prioritising site visits based on project risk levels and operational requirements. Reporting into the Health & Safety Manager, you will work closely with operational teams, site managers, and senior stakeholders to ensure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained across all projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and confident Health & Safety professional who enjoys a visible presence on site and can provide practical support while driving a positive safety culture throughout the business. Provide professional health and safety advice across multiple construction, refurbishment, and asbestos removal projects. Plan and manage your own programme of site visits, prioritising support based on project complexity and risk profile. Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and compliance reviews. Ensure compliance with current health and safety legislation, including CDM Regulations and the Control of Asbestos Regulations. Review risk assessments, method statements, plans of work, and other project documentation. Deliver toolbox talks, behavioural safety initiatives, and health & safety briefings. Monitor subcontractor compliance and performance. Support the ongoing development and improvement of health and safety management systems and procedures. Proven Health & Safety experience within the construction industry. Experience working on refurbishment, demolition, or complex construction projects. Excellent knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation and industry best practice. Strong auditing, inspection, and incident investigation experience. Full UK Driving Licence. Willingness to travel extensively and stay away overnight when required. NEBOSH Diploma (Level 6) or equivalent Health & Safety qualification. Previous experience supporting licensed asbestos removal projects. Experience working within a specialist contractor environment. Salary of up to Β£55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
