Seeking an experienced Health & Safety professional with strong major projects experience within construction or civil engineering to lead a project initially with scope to grow into division lead for major projects. The position is working for a leading client and will be responsible for management of the contractors and setting high standards across HSEQ.
The ideal candidate will have experience leading major projects or be able to step into this position. Construction or civil engineering experience is a must, but it would be beneficial to have piling, temporary works or marine experience.
The HSEQ Lead will be responsible for:
- HSEQ lead on the major projects team, working with the principal contractor as the client lead
- Working with site teams to achieve compliance and push for high standards towards HSEQ
- Promoting HSEQ initiatives
- Responsible for the HSEQ internal auditing programme
- Managing internal & external stakeholders
- Supporting wider projects in the business as the subject matter expert
The HSEQ Lead will have:
- 3+ years of experience working in health & safety
- NEBOSH Diploma or working towards it
- Experience working in the civil engineering or construction industry
- Major projects experience is a benefit
- Previous experience working on client side or principal contract
The position is project focused, so the candidate is required to be onsite 4-5 days per week and must be commutable to the location.
