I am working with a heavy civil engineering/highways specialist who are looking for an experienced health & safety professional to join the business to support across the M25 region. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a live highways environment; this can be an Advisor looking to step up. The position is very hands-on and seeking a candidate who wants to be out on site and building relationships with those site teams.

The Health & Safety Manager will be responsible for:

  • Deputise for the Head of Safety when required
  • Driving a positive health & safety culture
  • Lead on accident investigations and near misses to identify root causes and implement improvement plans
  • Work with site teams and gangs to identify areas of improvement and provide solutions to support
  • Visit sites regularly to build relationships across the M25 region
  • On occasion oversee work in the evening but not full night work

The Health & Safety Manager will have:

  • 3 years of experience working in health & safety
  • Previous experience working in highways environment
  • Hold a NEBOSH certificate minimum, ideally Diploma level or working towards
  • Driving license
  • Happy to work in a position where some evening work is required
