Sevenoaks School, founded in 1432 and globally recognised for academic excellence and innovation, is seeking a proactive and highly organised Health and Safety Administrator to support the smooth running of health and safety operations. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain insight into the day-to-day workings of a large, dynamic school while contributing to the wellbeing of a vibrant community.
About the Role
Working closely with the Health and Safety Manager, you\’ll provide a wide range of administrative support to ensure the effective delivery of health and safety processes across a 100-acre award-winning campus.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing health and safety enquiries and coordinating resolutions
* Administering online and face-to-face training for staff
* Liaising with contractors and internal teams to support planned and reactive works
* Tracking actions from audits, inspections, and risk assessments
* Maintaining accurate documentation and updating internal web pages
* Supporting data analysis and report preparation
* Providing secretariat support to the Health and Safety Board
We\’re looking for someone who is:
* Highly organised with strong administrative experience
* A confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
* IT-savvy, especially with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Comfortable working with data and spreadsheets
* Discreet, adaptable, and calm under pressure
* Able to work independently and collaboratively
Desirable:
* Familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint and Teams
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection (training provided)
* IOSH Managing Safely or relatable qualification/ experience
