We are supporting the appointment of a Head of QHSE to lead Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental performance across a high-profile integrated facilities management contract for a leading banking client. This senior role provides strategic oversight across 12 corporate head offices and circa 350+ retail branches nationwide, ensuring compliance, continuous improvement and a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and accountability for QHSE delivery across all hard and soft FM services, ensuring contractual and statutory compliance.
- Lead accident and incident management, including AINM reviews, RIDDOR assessments and implementation of lessons learned.
- Act as senior QHSE advisor to the client, supporting delivery of their H&S strategy and attending governance forums and safety meetings.
- Oversee safe systems of work for medium and high-risk activities (e.g. HV/LV, confined space, work at height) in collaboration with HSQE and Supply Chain teams.
- Drive effective use of client systems (e.g. Track Record, Ostara) and deliver clear QHSE reporting to senior stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain the Integrated Management System in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards, leading audits and corrective actions.
- Support mobilisation and contract transitions, embedding robust QHSE processes from the outset.
What We’re Looking For
- NEBOSH National Diploma (Level 6) or equivalent - essential.
- Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (Level 6) - essential.
- IOSH Graduate or Chartered Member - essential.
- Degree/HND and ISO Internal Auditor qualifications - desirable.
- Proven experience leading QHSE across multi-site FM or complex built environments, ideally within banking or critical environments.
- Strong knowledge of ISO standards and UK statutory compliance, with excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Willingness to travel nationally, with at least one day per week on site in Milton Keynes.
