We are partnering with a leading Real Estate organisation to recruit a Head of Health and Safety. The Head of Health and Safety is accountable to the Chief Executive Officer for the development and delivery of the Safety Strategy. This role requires professional knowledge and strategic leadership experience in occupational health and safety law, statutes and regulation.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership – Delivery of the H&S Strategic Plan and ensure continued alignment with the organisations goals and objectives.
- Technical Oversight – Provide expert guidance on H&S issues covering all operational environments.
- Compliance and Governance – Develop, implement and monitor a Safe Systems of Work tailored to support operations.
- Risk Management and Incident Response - Facilitate health and safety risk assessments for projects, facilities, and operations, ensuring potential hazards are identified and mitigated to as low as reasonably practicable.
- Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement - Engage with stakeholders, including regulators, insurers, and contractors, to represent the organisation’s health and safety interests.
What We’re Looking For
- NEBOSH National Diploma for Occupational Health and Safety Management Professionals.
- Preferred Chartered Member of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health, or working towards same.
- Extensive knowledge of health and safety legislation, codes, and best practices (e.g., HSG 65, ISO 45001, CDM, Building Safety Act, ESG, etc.).
- Experience in sectors such as facilities management, residential and commercial lettings and construction.
