I am working with a civil engineering/utilities specialist who is looking for an experienced Fire Safety Manager to join the business. The candidate will be required to be a fire specialist and able to lead the department. The ideal candidate will have strong fire knowledge and be a member of the IFSM, ideally with knowledge within an infrastructure environment or experience across a variety of industries, as this will cover construction, civil engineering, COMAH, among others.
The Fire Safety Manager will be responsible for:
- Develop and implement a fire safety strategy
- Bring fire expertise to the business and support the wider education throughout the company
- Prepare and deliver regular reports for senior management
- Ensure all work is compliant and adheres to fire safety regulations
The Fire Safety Manager will have:
- 5 years of experience working in a Fire Safety-focused position
- Proven track record in fire safety management
- Previous experience working in civil engineering or construction is a distinct advantage
- Driving license
- Strong communicator, both verbal and written
- Strong stakeholder engagement
- Membership to the Institute of Fire Safety Managers (MIFSM) or Membership to the Institute of Fire Engineers (MIFireE)
