This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the safety and wellbeing of a vibrant, diverse community of over 1,200 students and 400 staff on an award-winning 100-acre campus.
About the Role
As Fire Safety Advisor, you will play a key role in developing and implementing a robust fire safety management system across all school sites and activities. You\’ll work closely with departments across the school to ensure compliance with legislation, promote a positive safety culture, and provide expert advice on fire safety matters.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the review and implementation of fire safety policies and systems
* Overseeing fire detection and emergency systems
* Conducting fire risk assessments and audits
* Coordinating fire safety training and evacuation drills
* Liaising with contractors, emergency services, and internal teams
* Supporting critical incident planning and investigations
We\’re looking for someone with:
* Strong experience managing fire safety in a complex environment
* Up-to-date knowledge of fire safety legislation and best practice
* Excellent communication and IT skills
* A proactive, collaborative approach
* Relevant fire safety qualifications and memberships (e.g. Institute of Fire Engineers)
