A leading UK infrastructure and engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Senior HSEQ Advisor to support a utilities project in Worcestershire. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive HSQE professional to work on high‑profile infrastructure schemes, partnering closely with site management and a dedicated central HSQE function to drive best practice, compliance, and continuous improvement across a diverse project portfolio.
The HSQE Advisor will play a key role in promoting a positive HSQE culture across live sites, undertaking inspections, supporting audits, and providing practical, hands‑on advice to operational teams. The role offers a strong balance of site presence, stakeholder engagement, and involvement in the ongoing development of HSQE strategy and management systems.
- Act as a first point of contact for HSQE matters across allocated sites
- Promote a strong, visible Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental culture on site
- Conduct detailed HSQE site inspections and audits, ensuring actions are closed out within agreed timescales
- Provide hands‑on coaching and practical HSQE advice to operatives and management
- Support accident, incident, and near‑miss investigations, identifying root causes and improvement actions
- Promote best practice reporting, process improvement, and near‑miss systems
- Assist with toolbox talks, safety briefings, and lessons learned sessions
- Attend internal and client HSQE meetings and site tours
- Complete HSQE reporting, including photographic records and action tracking
- Support the continuous improvement of HSQE strategy and management systems
- Assist with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification and ongoing compliance
Minimum 5 years’ experience on Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation contracts
NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate (or equivalent Level 3 qualification)
Working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
CITB SMSTS
CSCS Card
Full UK Driving Licence
Experience working across multiple sites in a fast‑paced environment
Strong communication skills with the confidence to influence at all levels
