The Opportunity

A global manufacturing organisation is seeking an experienced SHE professional to lead performance across its European operations.

This is a newly created leadership position reporting directly to the Global SHE Director, established to bridge the gap between global strategy and regional execution.

The successful individual will play a key role in driving consistency, sharing best practice, strengthening collaboration between sites, and raising SHE standards across multiple manufacturing facilities and remote teams.

This is a highly visible leadership role with significant influence across operational sites, regional leadership teams and the wider global SHE function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the SHE agenda across manufacturing operations and remote employee populations throughout Europe.
  • Drive consistent implementation of SHE standards, systems and governance across multiple locations.
  • Partner with Site Directors and operational leaders to improve performance and embed a strong safety culture.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on Occupational Health, Process Safety and Behavioural Safety.
  • Drive incident learning, risk management, auditing and compliance activities.
  • Promote greater collaboration and knowledge sharing between sites.
  • Support the implementation of group SHE programmes and strategic initiatives.
  • Lead, coach and develop a regional team of SHE professionals.

About You

We are interested to speak to experienced SHE leaders who have operated across multiple countries and cultures within high-hazard industries.

  • Process Manufacturing
  • Other highly regulated industrial environments

Requirements

  • SHE leadership experience within a high-hazard environment.
  • Proven experience leading programmes across multiple countries and cultures.
  • Understanding of process safety and major hazard risk management.
  • Experience operating within COMAH, Seveso or equivalent regulatory environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and leadership skills.
  • Experience leading geographically dispersed teams.
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Chartered IOSH or equivalent advantageous.
