A well-established engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join its expanding design team. This contract role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile data centre and building services projects, contributing to detailed design development and service coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site surveys, testing, and reporting on existing installations
  • Attend technical meetings with design teams and contractors
  • Perform electrical calculations using Amtech, ProDesign, or similar software
  • Prepare technical drawings and tender specifications
  • Mentor and oversee junior engineers and trainees

Skills & Experience

  • Proficient in electrical design and specification across various building types
  • Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Familiarity with British Standards and building regulations
  • Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail and quality output

Preferred Qualifications

  • Degree in Electrical or Environmental Engineering
  • HNC/ONC/BTEC in Building Services Engineering or equivalent
