We are looking for an experienced Associate Director β Health, Safety & Wellbeing to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight across a diverse portfolio of operational, commercial, residential and retail environments. This senior leadership role will drive a positive safety culture, lead high-performing teams, and ensure health, safety and wellbeing are embedded across all business activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Health, Safety & Wellbeing team, driving performance and capability.
- Provide strategic direction on health, safety and wellbeing across complex operational environments.
- Influence senior stakeholders and ensure accountability for HSW performance.
- Oversee risk management, audits, inspections and compliance programmes, including ISO 45001.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, including CDM Regulations.
- Lead incident management, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Drive HSW transformation programmes, innovation and best practice.
- Develop strong relationships with regulators, contractors and key stakeholders.
- Provide assurance and reporting to senior leadership on HSW performance and risk.
About You
- Essential: Degree, NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent professional qualification.
- Chartered IOSH, IIRSM or equivalent membership.
- Significant experience leading health and safety within complex operational or construction environments.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and deliver organisational change.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation, compliance and best practice.
- Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
