We are seeking multiple Health and Safety professionals from coordinator level to senior Advisor to join a leading civil engineering principal contractor on a major, complex project based in Birmingham. These are site-focused/project-focused positions, so candidates must be happy in being based on site 4/5 days per week. The ideal candidates would come from a civil engineering/construction background.
The Health & Safety professional will be responsible for:
- Carrying out audits and inspections across the project
- Working autonomously and managing their own diary and workload
- Supporting the team to create a positive health & safety culture
- Leading on accident investigations and near misses to identify root causes and implement improvement plans
- Conducting site audits
- Promoting Health & Safety initiatives
- Managing internal & external stakeholders
The Health & Safety professional will have:
- 1 year + experience working in health & safety
- NEBOSH Certificate minimum
- Experience working in civil engineering or the construction industry
- Major projects experience a benefit
- ISO Auditing qualification would be beneficial
Position is project-focused, required to be on-site 4/5 days per week. Applicants must be commutable to the location.
