We are seeking an experienced Building Safety & Fire Compliance Manager to lead compliance across a portfolio of higher-risk residential and mixed-use buildings. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the Building Safety Act 2022, Fire Safety Order, and Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022, while providing expert guidance to stakeholders, managing regulatory requirements, and maintaining the highest standards of resident and building safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Building Safety Cases, Safety Case Reports and the Golden Thread of Information.
- Support Building Safety Regulator requirements, including Gateway submissions and Mandatory Occurrence Reporting (MOR).
- Oversee fire safety compliance, including FRAs, PAS 9980 assessments, fire door programmes and firefighting equipment inspections.
- Manage audits, inspections, investigations and continuous improvement activities.
- Act as the key liaison with regulators, emergency services, insurers and internal stakeholders.
- Manage specialist contractors, consultants and compliance budgets.
About You
Essential
- NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
- Fire safety qualification (Level 4/5 or equivalent)
- Professional membership (IOSH, IFSM, IIRSM, FPA or similar)
- 5+ years' experience in health & safety and/or fire safety
- Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act and fire safety legislation
Desirable
- NEBOSH Diploma
- Fire Safety or Building Safety Diploma
- Chartered professional membership
- Experience with Safety Cases, Gateway submissions, MOR systems and PAS 9980 assessments
