What You’ll Be Doing
- Shaping Better Waste Practices Across the NHS: Visiting hospitals, clinics and community sites to review waste segregation and support teams in getting it right.
- Spotting What Others Miss: Identifying risks, gaps and improvement opportunities, then turning your insights into clear and practical recommendations.
- Carrying Out Pre‑Acceptance Audits: Supporting NHS Trusts by completing and reviewing pre‑acceptance audits to ensure everything meets compliance standards.
- Empowering Staff Through Training: Delivering engaging, confidence‑building training sessions for clinical and non‑clinical teams on waste segregation and environmental compliance.
- Championing High Standards: Ensuring all work aligns with ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 frameworks while collaborating with Estates, IPC and Sustainability teams.
Who They’re Looking For
- Experience in Healthcare Waste or Environmental Compliance: Someone with a background in waste management, environmental auditing or compliance, ideally with NHS exposure.
- Knowledge of Key Regulations: Comfortable working with HTM 07‑01, UK waste legislation and wider environmental standards.
