What You'll Be Doing:
- Drive Environmental Excellence – Champion environmental best practice across multiple projects, supporting the delivery of sustainability objectives and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide Expert Guidance – Work closely with operational and site teams, offering practical environmental advice to ensure compliance with legislation, client requirements and company standards.
- Lead Audits & Site Reviews – Carry out environmental inspections, audits and performance reviews, identifying risks, sharing best practice and helping drive positive change.
- Build Key Relationships – Collaborate with clients, regulators and supply chain partners, promoting a positive environmental culture and influencing key project decisions.
- Monitor, Improve & Influence – Investigate environmental incidents, analyse performance data and recommend improvements that enhance environmental outcomes across the framework.
Who They're Looking For:
- Experienced Environmental Professional – You'll have environmental or HS&E experience within construction, infrastructure, utilities or another fast-paced project environment.
- Technically Knowledgeable – A well-developed understanding of environmental legislation, management systems and risk management, with the confidence to provide practical advice.
- Excellent Communicator – Comfortable building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels, from site teams to clients and regulatory bodies.
- Proactive Problem Solver – Someone who enjoys identifying opportunities for improvement, managing environmental risks and driving high standards across projects.
- Passionate About Your Career – NEBOSH qualified (or working towards), with a full UK driving licence. IEMA membership and experience within the water or regulated infrastructure sectors would be an advantage.
